Meet the Florist

Debbie Mitchell opened Breezy's Floral & Gifts - now Breezy's Distinctive Floral & Event Design - in Seneca, Missouri in 2000. Six years later she moved her business to Joplin, Mo., and is currently located at 2122 S. Main Street.

A professional florist and event planner experience in working within a project or event's budget and producing high-quality results, Debbie has been described as "creative, enthusiastic, hard-working, and committed to superior service to all of her customers." Confident and poised in interactions with individuals at all levels, she is detail-oriented and resourceful in completing projects, able to multi-task effectively with great design skills.

Debbie's experience and capabilities include professional knowledge of fresh flowers, purchasing and sales of flowers and merchandise, and designing floral arrangements for traditional and non-traditional weddings, events, and parties.

Experience highlights for Debbie include being a planner and designer for the Lee Iacocca Diabetes Foundation fundraiser in St. Joseph, Missouri, and being selected as the Spiva Art Center "Designer of the Year." One of Debbie's weddings was selected to be featured in the Fall/Winter 2007 issue of Knott Magazine (MO/KS distribution), and Debbie has also been featured in Weddings with Style International for an October 2007 wedding in Joplin, MO and as the winner of the "Designer Wedding Challenge" in February 2008.
